Product Information

The DVT-PRO Dual Band Programmable TPMS Sensor is a universal replacement tire pressure monitoring sensor built for professional tire shops, service centers, and high-volume installers. One programmable sensor covers both 315 MHz and 433 MHz TPMS applications -- helping shops reduce inventory, simplify stocking, and service a wider range of domestic, European, and Asian vehicles from a single SKU.

Buying for your own vehicle? Add your year-make-model. Without a YMM, sensors ship blank and unprogrammed.

315 MHz and 433 MHz are the two transmission bands used across major OEM TPMS systems -- domestic vehicles typically run 315 MHz, while many European and Asian platforms use 433 MHz. The DVT-PRO covers both in one sensor.

For shops, the DVT-PRO helps eliminate the need to stock separate sensors by frequency band or vehicle line. Program the sensor to the supported vehicle application, clone an existing sensor ID when applicable, or use it as part of a standard TPMS replacement workflow.

Why shops stock the DVT-Pro

  • One sensor SKU, hundreds of OE replacements. Cut your dual-band TPMS inventory to a single bin and stop pre-sorting by frequency at the bay.
  • 98% vehicle coverage out of the box. Domestic, European, and Asian platforms, with wireless auto-locate and hi-line/low-line protocol support.
  • Wireless programming, no cradle. Program at the wheel with ATEQ, Snap-on, or the Dynamic DY-46/DY-47 — no cabling or pad alignment.
  • Clones the original sensor ID. Read the ID off a working sensor and write it to a new DVT-Pro — no TPMS relearn needed when the original is intact.
  • Through-the-tire reprogramming. Re-flash the sensor without breaking the tire down. Useful for software updates and rotation re-learns.
  • Five years of free firmware updates. New vehicle-protocol profiles push to the DY-47 (and the sensor's compatible firmware) at no cost.
  • Dual Valve Technology. Swap the rubber valve stem that comes with the sensor (6-207A) for brushed aluminum (6-225), chrome (6-203), or black aluminum (6-225B)  valve stems on the same sensor housing with a T10 driver.
  • Live application data. Cross-references published to Epicor, WHI, Wrench Head, ShowMeTheParts, and MAM.

Ships with a 6-207A rubber snap-in valve installed. Switch the variant above for the 12-pack. Find your vehicle on the Dynamic application portal.

Common FAQs

DVT-PRO vs. OE TPMS Sensors:

Many OE TPMS sensors are specific to a particular frequency, vehicle application, or part number. The DVT-PRO gives shops a more flexible replacement option by covering both major TPMS frequencies in one programmable sensor. For shops servicing mixed vehicle lines, that means fewer SKUs to stock, less sorting at the bay, and a faster TPMS service workflow.

When Should I replace my TPMS Sensors?

TPMS sensors should be replaced when a sensor fails, when the internal battery is depleted, or when the sensor is damaged during tire service. TPMS sensor battery life varies by vehicle use, climate, and driving conditions, but many sensors last roughly 5-10 years.

What Comes With the DVT-PRO?

Each DVT-PRO sensor ships with a 6-207A rubber snap-in valve installed. The same sensor housing can also be used with compatible Dynamic valve options, including 6-225 brushed aluminum, 6-203 chrome, and 6-225B black aluminum valve stems.

Does the DVT-PRO TPMS sensor need to be programmed?
Yes. The DVT-PRO ships blank unless vehicle information is provided. It must be programmed to the correct vehicle application before installation.

What frequencies does the DVT-PRO cover?
The DVT-PRO supports both 315 MHz and 433 MHz TPMS applications.

Can the DVT-PRO clone an existing TPMS sensor?
Yes. When the original sensor is still functioning, a compatible TPMS tool can copy the sensor ID and write it to the DVT-PRO.

What tools program the DVT-PRO?
The DVT-PRO is designed to work with compatible ATEQ, Snap-on, and Dynamic DY-46/DY-47 TPMS tools. JohnDow lists ATEQ, Snap-on, DY-46, and DY-47 compatibility, and the DY-47 includes five years of free software updates.

Frequently asked questions

What is a dual band TPMS sensor?

A dual band TPMS sensor transmits on both 315 MHz and 433 MHz frequencies, covering domestic and most import vehicles from a single SKU. Dual-band programmable sensors like the Dynamic DVT-Pro replace hundreds of OE-specific sensors when programmed correctly.

What tools program a DVT-Pro sensor?

ATEQ (all current models), Snap-on TPMS tools, and the Dynamic DY-46 and DY-47 diagnostic tools. The DY-47 ships with five years of free vehicle-protocol updates.

Can a DVT-Pro clone an existing TPMS sensor?

Yes. Copy/clone mode reads the ID from a working sensor and writes it to the new DVT-Pro. No TPMS relearn procedure is needed at the vehicle when the original sensor's ID is intact.

Do I need a programming tool to install a DVT-Pro sensor?

Yes. DVT-Pro sensors ship blank and must be programmed to the vehicle's protocol before they will communicate with the receiver module. If you're buying for your own vehicle, add your year-make-model at checkout and the sensor will be pre-programmed before shipping.

What's the warranty on a Dynamic TPMS sensor?

One year against manufacturing defects from the date of purchase. Damage from installation error, road impact, or battery depletion beyond one year is not covered.

Can I swap the valve stem on a Dual Valve Technology sensor?

Yes. The DVT-Pro sensor housing accepts the 6-207A rubber stem (included), the 6-225 brushed aluminum, the 6-203 chrome, and the 6-225B black aluminum stem. Swap with a T10 driver.

Can I reprogram or update the sensor without removing the tire?

Yes. The DVT-Pro supports through-the-tire reprogramming, so you can re-flash it for software updates and rotation re-learns without breaking the tire down. New vehicle-protocol profiles push to the DY-47 (and the sensor's compatible firmware) free for five years.

Will this sensor work on my vehicle?

Dynamic DVT-Pro sensors cover approximately 98% of TPMS-equipped passenger vehicles and light trucks across most domestic, European, and Asian platforms. Confirm fitment for your exact year-make-model through the Dynamic application lookup at showmetheparts.com/dynamic.
